Meet Mary:

  • 28 years of education experience as a teacher, principal, program director, and curriculum developer

  • B.A., M.Ed., and Doctorate in Education Leadership

  • Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate, grades K-6

  • Pennsylvania Administrative Certificate, Principal for grades K-12

  • Pennsylvania Supervisory Certificate, Curriculum and Instruction grades K-12

  • Experienced leader, mentor, and grant writer

  • Completed training program through the Pennsylvania School Safety Institute

  • District resident for 15 years

Professional Accomplishments:

  • Developed, implemented, and supervised an alternative to suspension program using conflict resolution and anger management in schools

  • Developed, implemented, and supervised a youth leadership development program

  • Increased student achievement by individualizing assessment and intervention strategies

  • Implemented evidence-based programs that improves school climate and student engagement

  • Led a team of educators through curriculum planning and implementation of new academic standards

Meet Chris:

  • Resident of West Shore School District for 50+ years

  • Retired educator with 36 years’ experience

  • Taught at both Red Land and Cedar Cliff High Schools

  • Held leadership roles with local Scouting troops

  • Former football and track and field coach

  • Raised four children who graduated from WSSD

  • Current school board director seeking re-election

School Board Accomplishments:

  • Mobilized efforts to advance all-day kindergarten

  • Championed natatorium renovation and elevated its priority for the district

  • Advocated for and supports renovations at Allen Middle School

  • Advocated for and supports new turf field at Red Land High School

  • Facilitated the hiring of school resource officers to ensure safe learning environments

  • Supports programs that improve academic achievement and safeguard student mental health

  • Serves on transportation committee and joint operating committee for Cumberland Perry Area CTC

Christopher Kambic: Region 1

  • Real-world business and leadership experience

  • Former district coach and volunteer

  • Raised one child who graduated from WSSD

  • Current school board director seeking re-election

School Board Accomplishments:

  • Board president for two years and long-time chair of finance and policy committees

  • Collaborated with business manager and finance committee to invest cash reserves thereby creating a new district revenue stream 

  • Initiated and oversaw the integration of school security guards and school resource officers 

  • Increased transparency by implementing the recording of committee meeting minutes and including the minutes in regular board meetings for public review

  • Advocated for flexible instructional programs and ExCEL, the district's virtual learning academy 

  • Supported expansion of West Shore Connect Program to enhance the academic and functional independence of recent graduates with disabilities

  • Oversaw completion of two new intermediate schools

  • Developed district health and safety plan for post-COVID return

  • Co-authored original RFP for the hiring of a new solicitor

  • Started transportation committee to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable student transport

Meet Teri:

  • 20+ years of experience in education

  • B.A. from West Chester University and M.Ed. from Penn State

  • Works at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology

  • Has three children enrolled in WSSD

  • Serves as a public education advocate with Education Voters of PA

  • Volunteers regularly in WSSD at extracurricular events and activities

Professional Accomplishments:

  • Create pathways for transfer students to earn a four-year degree while minimizing financial burdens

  • Developed and implemented a centralized course scheduling system across academic divisions to meet student needs, optimize resource usage, and enhance operational efficiencies 

  • Implemented a data-driven decision model using measurable outcomes that improve enrollment and retention rates as well as strengthen partnerships with academic institutions

  • Improved access to courses, enhanced retention rates, and bolstered academic success by working collaboratively with administrators, program leadership, and faculty
